๐Ÿ“บ Korean Tv Series Review: What's Wrong With Secretary Kim? (๊น€๋น„์„œ๊ฐ€ ์™œ ๊ทธ๋Ÿด๊นŒ)

Most of the highly anticipated Korean Dramas set to be released this year are based on popular webtoons (digital comics) and the one I'm reviewing today is no exception.
Fans of the original comic complained a lot about the lead actor, saying he wasn't as pretty as the paper one....it took one episode to change their minds!

Kim Mi So has been more than a loyal and valuable secretary to Lee Young Joon: she's
his sidekick, prepared for any circumstance and perfect on every occasion...that's why his world falls when she suddenly announces she'll quit the job for unspecified "personal reasons".

At the age of 29, Mi So feels it's time to do something solely for herself: officially, she wants to find love and get married, while her hidden purpose is to find the boy she has been kidnapped with when she was 5 years old.

Mr. Lee cannot lose her (or better, doesn't want to) and when he finds out that Mi So is leaving to get married, he acts as the self-centered and egocentric man he's and asks her to marry him right away...of course, he gets rejected and that where the good plot starts!
first of the countless times he has been proposing to Kim Mi So

Mr. Lee tries EVERYTHING to make Mi So fall for him, all the attempts and ideas he comes up with are more hilarious than the previous.

To complete the already charismatic and terrific lead duo, other fantastic co-protagonists are:

Mr. Lee's best friend Mr. Park (my personal favorite! He's so hilarious, a caricature!), Kim Mi So's protective older sisters and Mr.Lee's older brother, with whom Mr. Lee does not have a positive fraternal relationship.

My Opinion๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘Ž
After watching the first episode, you'll be left with one question and one certainty:
1) Is Maserati the go-to choice for the average Korean or was there a special sale by the time they started filming the series? The male protagonist has the same model in 3 different colors!!
2) The series is so good and beyond any initial expectations...by the end of the first episode, you know you're doomed for your entire life!

One of the greatest aspects of this K-Drama is the length of its episodes, but 16 of them are simply too few! If you watch K-Dramas (or are a regular of this column) you'd know by now that secretaries/personal assistants are no joke and it's them who have to solve their employer's problems.

Not a single episode was boring or unnecessary, everything about the plot and characters was appealing and engaging; Lee Young Joon's character is so full of himself to appear comic rather than detestable, his transformation to conquer Kim Mi So and all the times he goes for Mr.Park's advises are to die for, laughing wise!

Best K-Drama I've seen so far, beating Descendants of the Sun hands down!

Ranking: 5+/5
