Cure it with Movies: Switched Point of View

Admit it: you all, at least ONCE in your lives, thought that our best friend/neighbor's life was perfect or better than ours! I did!
That's basically what happened in these movies and the protagonists find out that they were far far far from the true!

Wish Upon A Star (1996) with Katherine Heigl and Danielle Harris.

Two sisters: one is popular and outgoing. The younger is the exact opposite. One night, she wishes on a falling star to be her older sister for one day.

As they say "Be careful what you wish for...."

It's a Boy Girl Thing (2006) with  Samaire ArmstrongKevin Zegers.

She's the classic "I have to study a lot to get the chance to enter a good college" kind of girl while he's a popular football player is their high-school. They also happen to be neighbors and can't stand each other. One day, on a school trip, they start a fight in front of a aztec totem and the day after they wake up one in the body of the other.

The Change-Up Movie Poster

The Change-Up (2011) with Jason BatemanRyan Reynolds.

Two friends with two completely different life: one is a family man with two newborn kids and struggle to deal with all the changes. The other is an irreducible single with no goal in his life. One night they go out for a beer , start complaining about their life and say that his friends life is better and who they wish to have the respective lives....
The day after, their wish comes true!

Monte-Carlo (2011) with Selena Gomez, Leighton Meester and Katie Cassidy.

Three friends on an holiday in Paris have a drastical upgrade when one of them is mistaken for a rich heiress and are taken in Monte-Carlo, experiencing high society jet set!

Get The Look: from Dolce&Gabbana S/S 2014

Dolce&Gabbana Spring/Summer 2014 was focus, as always, on femininity and looks that could emphasize this quality. One of their aces in the hole was using the never-going-out-of-style polka dots.
This "Get the Look" post is going to be different from the previous ones because it's not me that will give you advices on how to achieve the look for less, but the fashion blogger from "Life in Red Lipstick"...
I follow her blog just for a short time, but I do love her style: it's vintage, almost a dark lady...She reminds me
of Dita von Teese.

Below you can find the link to her blog post, with all the informations on how to get a Dolce&Gabbana' similar look.

Rita Ora vs Sonya Esman vs Chiara Ferragni

This Jeremy Scott for Moschino Spongebob sweater was the last thing I thought I would found worn from more than one celebrity for a #WWIB post and yet here we are!
Brit singer Rita Ora wore it first, to promote her music video "I Will Never Let You Down" in London, earlier this year.
Then we saw it styled by not one, but two fashion lovers: Sonya Esman, Russian born/Canadian naturalized professional model and entertainer and Chiara Ferragni, probably the most famous Italian fashion blogger, during last New York S/S 2015 Fashion Week's different events.

Now, speak your mind!

European Monarchy 2.0: Queens & Kings To Be

With the second English royal baby on his/her way, I thought to make a summery on who's is going to be king & queen in Europe monarchies....Of course, oldest heir to the throne of all times is well-know Charles of United Kingdom while the youngest is Leonor de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Ortiz of Spain (she's almost 9 years old).

Here's to you Their (future) Royal Highnesses:

Leonor de Todos los Santos de Borbón y Ortiz of Spain was born on 31 October 2005 in Madrid, Spain. Her dad, Felipe VI of Spain, is king from 19 June 2014 after Leonor's grandfather Juan Carlos abdicated the throne. She's the first in line to the throne and has a younger sister, Infanta Sofia. "Infanta" is the title given to the monarch' sons and daughters from the second-born, because they won't become kings and queens.

Novel Of The Week - Amazonia by James Rollins

I first "met" James Rollins by reading Deep Fathom a while ago and, since I liked his narration so much, I decided to read another of his novels.
So here's to you the plot of Amazonia by James Rollins:

#TTT - Top Ten Tuesday

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created at The Broke and the Bookish.
It was meant to be only for books BUT
I changed it a little bit so will  be 5 books I want to read but don't own yet and 5 movies I'm planning to see PLUS it's going to be monthly not weekly.

Shailene Woodley vs Lily Collins

I know, I know....It's the 5th time I make a #WWIB post with a Valentino creation (here, herehere and here the previous ones), I can't help it. It's likely the most famous italian designer, although now he has retired, so be patient and deal with my little obsession.
Back to business we have two of recently most requested actress wearing the same Valentino dress for two completely different occasions: actress Shailene Woodley wore it first early this May for an appearance on "The Late Show with David Letterman" while actress Lily Collins wore it for her cover photoshoot of Marie Claire's October issue.

Same dress, nearly same "pose"...time to deliberate: who wore it best?

5 Things you'll always find in Nicholas Spark's Movies

"The Best of Me", movie adptation of a Nicholas Sparks' novel is expected to hit the movie theatres on October, 17th in the U.S.
I didn't read the book BUT I did watch a few movies based on Nicholas' works and here I put together 5 things that all of them have in common and could possibly be also in "The Best of Me".

1 In most of the movies a dad dies: with the exception of A Walk to Remember (where is the daughter that dies) Message in a Bottle (where the male protagonists dies) and Safe Haven, in all the others are the dads that pass away. So my question is: dear Nicholas Sparks, what's your problem with fathers?
1) Greg Kinnear as Steve Miller in The Last Song  and 2) Richard Gere as Dr. Paul Flanner in Nights in Rodanthe
3) Richard Jenkins as Mr. Tyree in Dear John + 4) Jay R. Ferguson as Keith Clayton in The Lucky One and 5) Sam Shepard as Frank Calhoun in The Notebook
