Novel Of The Week: Beautiful Sacrifice by Jamie McGuire

And here we are again with another review of Jamie McGuire's books...I have to be honest, I like the Maddox Brother's series more than "Beautiful Disaster". I was so excited to read this one because it's about Taylor Maddox and the Maddox twins are my favourite characters (between the two of them, I've to say, my favourite is Tyler). Here's to you my review and thought on Beautiful Sacrifice by Jamie McGuire.

Drew Barrymore vs Tamera Mowry

Today's designer is Stella McCartney, and these two actresses wore the same piece from her Resort 2016 collection. I really like the dress, let me know what you think!
American actress Drew Barrymore wore this embossed flower pattern dress at the New York premiere of her movie "Miss You Already", late last October. It was cristal clear that she felt confident with this style, showing off her décolleté while smiling and laughing with her co-star Tony Collette. Another USA actress wore this same Stella McCarthy dress...I'm talking about Tamera Mowry, who walked the 2016 Make-Up artists and Hair stylists Guild Awards  red carpet late this February. She also showed some cleavage and styled it with an updo hairstyle and silver sandals.

Even if I love Drew, I have to say that she "ruined" the dress with those dark grey shoes so my point here goes to Tamera.

Who do you think wore it better:
Drew Barrymore or Tamera Mowry?

Chiara Ferragni vs Federica Fontana

What happen we two Italian beauties fall in love with the same designer's dress? Let's find out in this new WWIB edition!
Italian fashion blogger Chiara Ferragni wore this Bluemarine dress in a very "street stylish" way while attending shows during S/S 2016 Milan Fashion week, last September. Italian showgirl and model Federica Fontana wore the same piece at a birthday party, last January.
Chiara opted for matched black hat & high ankle boots and mirror sunglasses...Federica, instead, went for a more minimal and classic look, with a golden purse and black shoes.

Movie Review: Point Break

Point BreakPoint Break (2015) by Ericson Core. With Luke Bracey, Edgar Ramirez, Delroy Lindo, Ray Winston and Teresa Palmer.

The only thing that this movie has in common with the the original one (by Kathryn Bigelow and with Patrick Swayze, Keanu Reeves) is the title and the protogonists’ names. That’s it!

The 1991 "Point Break" was way less ideological and environmentalist, since the surfers/ thieves were all about surfing and having a good life. In this remake the band is made of extreme sports athletes who are more like some highly skilled Greenpeace activists than actual criminals.

For the sports scenes' stunts, they used real life pros and Olympic Medalists athletes and the newest shooting techniques and, belive me, the results were impressive!

Here’s to you the plot and my thoughts!

Emilia Clarke vs Bee Shaffer

Today we have to decide who wore this Dolce&Gabbana S/S 2016 floral sheer dress better!
The choice is up to you, enjoy!
Actress Emilia Clarke wore the runway version of the dress (in a stunning pale light blue color) for the HBO's Post 2016 Golden Globe Awards party last January. She opted for Jimmy Choo metallic rose sandals and a simple half back hairstyle.
Anna Wintour's daughter Bee Shaffer walked "Zoolander 2" red (to be precise, purple!) carpet at the world premire of the movie, earlier this February. She donned Emilia's same Dolce&Gabbana dress, but in its black version. Open toe sandals, a minimal make up and a simple ponytail completed her look.

Who do you think wore it better:
Emilia Clarke or Bee Shaffer?

The Postman Always Rings Twice #2

This first month of 2016 has been quite full of new books for me...I won two books giveaway from two adorable italian book blogs, two were given to me thanks to book exchanges and one is my twin sister's (and brother as well!) gift for me for Christmas!
 The wins were:
  • Fiore di Fulmine by italian author Vanessa Roggeri, which I won on the blog Parliamo di Libri click here
  • I cento colori del blu ("A Different Blue" italian version) by Amy Harmon. I won it on the blog Penna d'Oro click here
The book exchanges:
  • Il principe (Clockwork Prince) by Cassandra Clare
  • Cercando Alaska (Looking for Alaska) by John Green
And last but surely not least...a book that I wanted for what it feels like FOREVER...Parigi è sempre una buona idea by Nicolas Barreau. The English translation is Audrey Hepburn's very well known quote "Paris is always a good idea!"...for what I've read so far, the book is a good idea as well!
