Celebrities Love....Lokai bracelet

I wanted to do a meanigful post for this Christmas Eve and I think the story behid this bracelet is perfect for the task!

Steven Izen, founder of Lokai, had the idea of combining the elements from the highest and lowest points on Earth basing the choice from his personal experinces - in the white bead there's the water from Mount Everest and it represents thetime when he felt he was so blessed (on the top of the world) for where he was in his life...but in the same period he was informed his beloved grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and he felt so unhappy and sad, so the black bead has in its inside the mud from the Dead Sea (the lowest point of his life).

These two beads combined with in a circular bracelets means that of course in life you'll going throu bad and good times, but you have to stay positive and hopeful!
As you read in the title, some celebrities who love the meaning of the bracelet and showed it of in some selfies. Bella Thorne, Ashley Greene, Julianne Hough, Shay Mitchell, Alessandra Ambrosio and Giuliana Rancic are just a few of them....

So, what you think about this bracelet?

In the meantime I wish you all a Merry and Serene Christmas!

Hailee Steinfeld vs Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea

This will be probabily the last 2014 #WWIB, so of course I chose an Italian designer...this time, designerS. The incredible duo Dolce & Gabbana created this amazing white with black pois and red poppies dress for their S/S 2015 collection.
It has been worn first by young Americnan actress Hailee Steinfeld, during the Toronto Film Festival last September, wearing the small polka dots version while Argentinian art director Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea wore the big polka dots version earlier this December at the Museum of Moving Arts in New York to celebrate Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana for their supports to the cinematographic arts!

Elizabeth Banks vs Carey Mulligan

This time on #WWIB we have this splendid Alexander McQueen, worn first by actress Elizabeth Banks during the ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1′  photocall in London last November. She opted for the short version of the dress and wore it with burgundy anckle boots while actress Carey Mulligan chose to wear the long version for ASMALLWORLD’s 10th anniversary Winter Weekend earlier this week.

Cure it with Movies/Books: Christmas Time!!!

Christmas is less than two weeks away and everywhere I turn my head I see tons of articles and blog posts on gifts ideas for her, him, its. Under/above X dollars/euros. For hipster, bookworms, who's into sports, cooking and bla bla bla....

I admit it, I thought to do a similar article too, but then I changed my mind and decide to put on a list of movies and books to watch and read to get yourself in the holiday spirit!

Chalet Girl
This isn't the proper Christmas movie, but it's set in winter so I closed one eye...or two!
Felicity Jones is Kim, 19 years old former pro skateboarder who quit competing after a car accident where her mom died. She takes care of his father and when she finds she could make great money working as a "chalet girl" for a rich English family in Austria, she decided to give it a try!

The Grinch
The Grinch
The Grinch (created by Dr.Seuss) is Christmas' sworn enemy! He doesn't love it and, because of that, he also doesn't want anyone to enjoy it too.
The Holiday
The Holiday
Sometimes what you just need is a break from everything and everyone...And that's what Cameron Diaz and Kate  Winslet did in this movie!

The Nutcracker
One of the most famous ballet with the music by Tchaikovsky and from the novel The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by Ernst Theodor Amadeus Hoffmann .

Jena Malone vs Olivia Palermo

Actress Jena Malone wore this yellow skirt by Emilia Wickstead first at the Londo premiere of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1" movie. She styled it with a white top that she wore off shoulders earlier in November.
It girl Olivia Palermo wore it on another kind of red carpet, at the 2014 British Fashion Awards on the first of December, wearing a black t-shirt and matching shoes.
I have to say I like Jena's look more than Olivia's, that white top is to die for!
Let me know what's your opinion!

Who Wore It Best: Bvlgari's "Serpenti" Necklace Edition

This "Who Wore It Best" edition is not going to be about a dresses, but about jewelry...
To be precise, necklaces. Even more specific: Bvlgari "Serpenti" necklace.

There are different versions of the brand's iconic nacklace: with the snake's tail longer or shorter, with a teardrop' shape diamon at its end, the one that has to be worn on the back.
Celebrities loves sparkle, so here's a few of them wearing the same neckalce.
Check them out!

Actress Zhang Ziyi wore the necklace while attending the Bulgari 'Stop Think Give' exhibition preview and cocktail in Rome, back in 2012 while actress Julianne Moore wore it at the Bulgari Celebrates Icons Of Style: The Serpenti event during Fall 2013 Fashion Week in N.Y. City.

You may have notice that the two actresses not only worn the same nacklace, but also the same purse!

Back to this year, we have socialite Poppy Delevingne, who wore the necklace with a stunning Emilio Pucci piece during the 2014 amfAR Milano Gala in September. Last (but not least) actress Kate Beckinsale that styled her Kaufmanfranco white dress with the Serpenti necklace and showed off on the red carpet ot the 2014 AMAs in last week.

You've probably seen also Carla Bruni-Sarkozy wearing this necklace in its different versions, but since she Bulgari's 2014 testimonial, I didn't put her in this #WWIB.

Cure it with Movies/Books: Bucket List

Last year I wrote about an artist who painted the side of an abandoned house (in New Orleans) with chalkboard paint and  with a grid of the sentence “Before I die I want to _______.” Anyone walking by could pick up a piece of chalk and write down her/his wish. (For the article with photos, click here).

Nearly the same topic has been used in quite a few movies, with protagonists fighting against diseases and illness and deciding to make the best of the short time they have left, doing things they thought they never would be able to do. Sometimes they started this journey alone, but then (thankfully) they find someone to share their troubles and thoughts with.

It could seems that this kind of movies are just 2 hours of complete sadness BUT not everyone are like that. In fact I made a list of movies and books where protagonists react in very differen ways.

Here's to you my picks!

The Bucket List (2007)
With a strage duo like Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, this movie is a perfect example on not let disease control your life and in changing your opinion and beliefs. Vote: 3½/5

P.S I Love You (2007)
Hilary Swank and Gerard Butler in the movie adaptation of Cecelia Ahearn's novel is a different kind of bucket list: Gerry wants her wife to start enjoying life after his death and make a list of things she has to try.

1. Tessa is a teenage girl with leuckemia and took the brave decision to stop treatments and live what's left of her life following the list of things to do before she dies. Read here my movie review of the movie adaptation.
2. When Brett's mother suddenly dies, the only thing she left to her is a letter: before Brett takes control of the family's company, she has to complete the chilhood list she wrote when she was younger.
3. Liv Jenkins's "Before 30th birthday" bucket list is complete...the only thing she has to do is actually start doing those things...but when she dies, it's her five best friends task to do everything Liv has been unable to experience.

Kim Kardashia vs Alessandra Ambrosio

Reality star Kim Kardashian and model Alessandra Ambrosio have one thing in common. It may seems impossible and yet they both wore the same Balmain dress.
Yes, the pattern and colors are different. Kim wore it first at the 2014 MTV VMAs last August, optin for the runway model of the dress while Alessandra wore the black&white version of it yesterday, on the red carpet of the 2014 Latin Grammy Awards!

Which one you prefer? Kim's or Alessandra's choice of color?
