Cure it with Movies/Books: Holocaust Remembrance Day

Today, January 27th is International Holocaust Remembrance Day and I would like to dedicate this "Cure it with Movies/Books" post remembering the Holocaust victims.

I sometimes made the mistake to think that World War II-related movies are all the same and every time I found myself in error.
Here's my list of movies and books t watch and read on this special day. #WeDon'tForget

Life is Beatiful
(1997) by Roberto Benigni. With Roberto Benigni, Nicoletta Braschi, 

Giorgio Cantarini and Horst Buchholz. This is one of the most touching and meaningful movies about what Jews have suffered in the concentration camps. 

It won 4 Academy Awards (Best Music, Original Dramatic Score, and Best Foreign Language Film. Benigni also won Best Actor for his role.)







The Book Thief (2013) by Brian Percival. With Emily WatsonGeoffrey RushSophie NélisseBen Schnetzer, and Nico Liersch

Based on the novel of the same name by Markus Zusak.











Train of Life (1998) by  Radu Mihaileanu. With Lionel Abelanski, Clément Harari and  Michel Muller.













BOOKS





This is just a small list of the most famous and renowned movies and books about Nazi concentration camps, so excuse me if I left out a lot of them.
