📺 Korean Tv Series Review: Remember You (너를 기억해)

Lee Hyeon is a skilled criminal profiler who recently came back from America after receiving an enigmatic and cryptic email about a case that Hyeon's father worked on before he was murdered.
By chance, he stumbles into detective Cha Ji-Ah, who actually knows Hyeon very well while he's totally clueless about who she is.

The two will end up working together, along with Ji-Ah's entire team on a series of murders that seem to point to one sole suspect: Lee Joon-Young, a serial killer who crossed paths with both Hyeon and Ji-Ah's fathers.

My Opinion👍
This drama first aired back in 2015 and I decided to watch it because I really like the leading couple's actors and because I've always been a fan of psychological dramas (Criminal Minds is one of my all-time favorite series).
While 'Hello Monster' is a bit more on the sarcastic/easy side compare to what I'm used to, I actually like the story of the two protagonists being linked to the same unfortunate encounter with a criminal psychopath.

I also really like how close the investigation team is, always teasing and scolding each other but, when time asks for it, they all take care of one another and get especially worried about the only female member, Cha Ji-Ah.
This was one of those kinds of dramas where I could spot the cultural differences between East and West as the lack of straightforward communication between the characters drove me crazy, but then again if I were the writer the drama would have been 3 episodes long since I'd have cut all the misunderstandings...

If you're up for a fun and entertaining watch, then this is your series, but I've been a bit disappointed with the finale: I felt things have been concluded hastily while the main purpose has been ignored and dealt with in the last 2 minutes, still without a proper ending.

Rating: 3/5
