📖 Novel of the Week: Flower Boy Tour Guide by Shannon Kent

It has been almost a year since I started watching Korean Dramas and I can say without doubts (nor shame) that they've become an addiction...I also wanted to start reading novels set in Korea (and maybe written by Korean authors) but I still have to find the right one to start with.
In the meantime I found out Flower Boy Tour Guide by Shannon Kent and it's the perfect read for KDramas fangirls!

Hannah Reynolds is, SURPRISE SURPRISE, a K-drama and K-pop fan and she's finally living her dream: she's in Seoul and about to start the Drama Dream Tour, that will take her in all the real life sets where her favourite series took place. She's so enthusiast and looking foward to it, that not even the beautiful, but oh man! so rude tour guide will be able to rain on her parade.
Jae Lee's mission seems to be to ruin every romantic spot of the tour with his sarcastic comments and pessimism, but Hannah doesn't get discouraged easily.

Along with them, there's a bunch of very eterogenic and very enthusiast group of drama lovers and Hannah will bond immediately with Letty, a fellow American with an ottimistic and uplifting spirit.
While touring from Seoul to Busan and visiting some of K-Dramas most famous sets, all sort of accidents and misadventures will happen, mixed with lots of fun moments that will make Jae Lee sees Hannah passion under a different prospective.

👍👎My Thoughts
First book of "My Korean Crush" trilogy, the protagonist experiences both the serious and hilarious obstacles that she's has seen only in her beloved dramas: the handsome, but grumpy male lead, the ironic and helpful BBF and the whole range of situations that make her journey one she'll never forget...
I enjoyed guessing the K-Drama's titles based on the set's and plot descriptions and all the supporting characters, expecially texan Drama Divas: they're the best!

As for the answer to Jae's question "Why you love dramas so much?"...reasonable enough, but I can't shake off the feeling that something is missing.
Anyway, I really enjoyed the book: it has been the best companion to spend time with while commuting for and from work...it nearly led me to bursting into laugh in the subway, I have no idea how I managed not to!

My vote: 6/10
