📺 Korean Tv Series Review: Man to Man (맨투맨)

I never laughed so much from the very beginning with any other KDrama...LOVED IT!
Agent K is a ghost agent for NIS (National Intelligence Service of South Korea). He's highly skilled and well trained, as his last successful last mission in Eastern Europe proves. He's also smart enough to know that a betrayed woman is capable of everything so when his mission requires to seduce a girl he always makes sure to end the relationship in a bulletproof way (SPOILER): faking his own death.

Back in Korea, he goes undercover as the bodyguard of a famous actor, Yeo Un-gwang (to mask for his real assignment), but doesn't start off right with Un-gwang's manager (and ultimate fangirl) Cha Do-ha.
While everybody else is charmed by the new addition to the team, Cha Do-ha is suspicious and takes advantage of every chance she has to put K in a bad light or to make him fail...
The 'bodyguard mission' will be complete after the subtracting a wood craving from a Russian billionaire; K is able to complete the task and is more than happy to end his cover, but things take an unpredictable twist and the only way to figure out what's going on and to obtain the remaining two wood cravings is to get closer to Do-ha.

In the meantime, some political/power schemes are in progress and threat to jeopardize K's mission as well as the safety of both Un-gwang and Do-ha, who have become friends with him.

My Opinion👍👎
Besides being a fan of the action/comedy genre (organize a marathon of NCIS: L.A. and MacGyver anytime!) I was caught by this drama from minute 1. Let just skip the fact that Park Hae-jin is eye candy beyond imagination, everything in this series is a thumb up for me: the plot never gets boring, there are tons of action scenes, and the romantic scenes are so hilarious you won't be able to stop laughing.
I also loved the small references to some spy movies like "The Hunt for Red October" and the overall "Bad Boys"/ "Men in Black" feeling.

The actors are all terrific, but K's handler is 3 steps above everyone! Jung Man-sik is charismatic and funny, used to be a NIS agent himself, but apparently, his wife is scarier and more dangerous of international terrorists.

Rating: 4¼/5

FUN FACT: basically half cast of Descendants of the Sun is in the drama, either as regular or cameo (Song Joong-ki included).
