📺 Japanese Tv Series Review: Mirror Twins Season 1 (ミラー・ツインズ)

Identical twins Katsuragi Keigo and Yugo went on two different paths in life after Yugo has been kidnapped when they were just 10 years old: Keigo became a detective, always following the rules and his high morals.
Yugo has been considered dead ever since he was taken from his family while actually, he has been hiding all of this time, plotting his revenge in every detail. The people who have kidnapped him are free to walk around like nothing had happened, but their time is almost up...

Keigo finds himself in the middle of Yugo's plan, who's so full of spite he doesn't care if he gets hurt by his actions, on the contrary!
All the murders' evidence points straight to Keigo and no one is believing his version about Yugo being alive. No one, except detective Minagawa who's willing to help Keigo finding proofs of his innocence and catch Yugo...

My Opinion👍👎
Since they're similar outwardly, it's fascinating to see how these twins have developed completely opposite personalities and how they managed to attract people on their side.
Of course, it was because of the different environments they've grown up in, but from the frequent flashback, we understand that Keigo and Yugo's characters were conflicting way before they became adults.

The story is a continuation of more and more surprising plot twists, all the way through the end of this season 1.
I liked it because the characters are true to themselves and don't have a change of heart half-way through their initial plan.

SPOILER! Poor Keigo is basically like us viewers: he discovers things step by step while all the other characters have their secret agenda...I felt sorry for him at one point!

The story is intriguing enough to keep your attention, but I'd dare to say this isn't everyone's cup of tea so I'd recommend the view to crime and detective series lovers.
