A year after "BTS Bring The Soul: Docu-Series", the boys are back with another behind the scene documentary, following them during their 2019 LOVE YOURSELF and SPEAK YOURSELF tours in Asia, North and South America, and Europe.
Along with well-known (and already developed in the previous docu-series) topics like them being thankful to and for their enormous fandom, wanting to provide the ARMY quality and fun concerts or their strong friendship, I was shocked about what goes on behind their flashy and cheerful stages: crew helping them with OXYGEN MASKS every time the members get to the fitting room for their outfit changes or how the stage was about to collapse during their concert in Bangkok, Thailand and the staff had to literally hold it up until their current performance was over!
Their physical strength is tested every time they walk on those stages and when the tour comes to an end they're drained.
There's no doubt they reached a level of professionalism comparable to much more experienced artists and it is well shown in the boys' participation in every aspect of the tour's organization.
They got to held concerts all over the world and in some of the most prestigious venues...Wembley Stadium, for instance, being the first-ever South Korean group to do so.
RM proves himself to be a present and thoughtful group leader because he managed to find time to help Jimin and other members with their own solo projects.
In the very first episode, SUGA says something that has never crossed my mind and yet is so obvious: "The structure of an idol group is weird because you take a bunch of strangers and put them to work and live together". BOOM, groundbreaking!
Yes, they may have been strangers when BTS was formed but now they're pillars in each other's lives and among the few people who can truly understand them because they all go through the same situations and events. Some members clearly cope with those better than others.
Final thoughts: these 7 boys accomplished so much in the past year (and right now as well, with their new hit song 'Dynamite') but with the fame and success your life is put under scrutiny 24/7, making for them impossible doing something as simple as going to store to buy anything. What's normal for us is unreachable for them and that's the aspect of being famous they still have hard times to deal with.
I admire the strong sense of community BTS's ARMY feels after their concert's speeches as they are able to bring them together and make them forget struggles even for just a bit.
Needless to say, I hope to witness that sense of unity brought on a universal level. The message is already out there, people just need to find the courage to love and speak for themselves and for a better future.
