📺 Korean Tv Series Review: Find Me in Your Memory (그 남자의 기억법)

Anchorman Lee Jung Hoon has been living all his life with hyperthymesia, a particular condition that doesn't allow him to forget a thing: whether it's a good notion or a bad memory, he will always remember it.
You might think this is some kind of superpower or a blessing, but it's actually a serious condition and there are some obscure memories that are still hunting him.

One day, Jung Hoon hosts rising actress Yeon Ha Jin as special guest on his program, to promote her new movie and first leading role, and he uses his infallible memory to expose how forgetful and superficial Ha Jin is.
His team leader that forces him to apologize for his rude behavior and, due to a little misunderstanding, the two of them are rumored to be dating; since Ha Jin's movie is a love story, she begs him to be her fake boyfriend until the movie is airing in theatres, but she has actually a second (not-so-hidden) motive to keep seeing him...

Their relationship inevitably grows closer, but there's more than one obstacle that prevents them to fully enjoy their time togetherJung Hoon and Ha Jin share a common grief, but she appears to have totally forgotten about it. Plus, being a famous actress, she's constantly under the spotlight but, as her relationship with the anchor becomes public, a stalker starts to threaten both of them.

My Opinion👍👎
This 2020 is proving to be the golden year for dramas...or at least this first 6 months of it were.
"Find Me in Your Memory" has low view ratings overall its airtime and, frankly, I have no idea why: was it because people were still thinking about that big hit that was Itaewon Class? Is it the 'curse' of Wednesday and Thursday runtime (apparently, those days have lower ratings compared to other days in the week)?

This drama was seriously frustrating because the poor lead couple couldn't have a moment of serenity since as soon as an issue was solved a new one arose...give them a break! Anyhow, the continuous succession of misfortunes has prevented boredom and I arrived at the final episodes wishing for a few more!

What I loved the most were the topics this drama developed: from the different reactions people have while dealing with traumatic situations, stalking and obsessive behaviors to hiding things to the ones we love the most, nothing was stereotyped or taken lightly, especially the stalking issue and what celebrities have to deal with daily (cyberbullying and treats in real life to start with).
I also loved the witty and hilarious dialogues, especially between the second lead couple and the sisterhood between Ha Jin and Ha Kyung; the two actresses successfully portrayed a close pair of siblings, always ready to protect and tease one another, their interactions really enlighten the scenes.
Find Me in Your Memory (그 남자의 기억법) episode 6
I watched two dramas starring Moon Ga-young: EXO Next Door (where she played a naive and innocent girl) and Tempted (where she was the ultimate villain) so the presentation she made of Ha Jin as a kind soul, but still pretty set on what she wanted, was moving and very well executed.
She was so involved in the character she even opened a fictitious IG account under her name (you can find it HERE)...Actress and singer IU did it as well last year for her character in 'Hotel del Luna'.

Last thoughts: if you liked dramas like 'Touch Your Heart' and 'Your House Helper' then you're going to love 'Find me in Your Memory', it helped me a lot by relieving these past few months stress and setting me in a good and positive mood.
Surely, I'll remember it for a long time!
