Yoshizawa Tsuneo starts his new job at Teisen Academy and is assigned to as the homeroom teacher for class 3-D, which is renowned as an elite class because all the students are clever and brilliant and aim to get into Tokyo University.
The class is difficult to handle, especially its top 4 students, that's why all teachers that came before Yoshizawa resigned one after another.
Yoshizawa, however, proves to be a tough one and manages to corner the class' bully, Riki Tsurugi while teaching an important life lesson using mathematical equations.
Asahi Yorita, a creepy and sneaky teacher, incites the top four students to get rid of Yoshizawa as he senses there's much more under his ever-present smile...
Toya Fujiwara, Yumi Nagai, Nagi Oki, and Riki Tsurugi starts to plan the murder of their homeroom teacher, but he's not willing to go down easily and survives every attempt to his life, making Asahi even more dangerous and resolute.
My Opinion👍👎
I started watching this drama thinking it could be similar to "Mr. Hiiragi's Homeroom" but it became crystal clear after the first 10 minutes that no, it wasn't.
This has to be the weirdest J-drama I've ever watched (along with Coffee & Vanilla) because it starts off as a mystery/thriller, continues as a b-class horror, and ends up messing everything up.
I kind of liked how profoundly twisted almost all characters are, it means the actors did a good job in helping the viewer appreciate all the shades of grey...and believe me, there are TONS of shades, especially if we think about professor Asahi: in some scenes looks like the Japanese version of the Joker, it really made me shiver.
Professor Yoshizawa is an idealist and, even if sometimes he may come out as ambiguous and a bit cringe, he's a good person who never thought about using violence to achieve his goals and by the end of the 8 episodes you'll surely remember his catchphrase:
嫌いじゃないです - (kirai janai desu)
I don't mind it (I don't dislike it)
Honestly, I think this series can be appreciated by those who already know how weird and unbelievable Japanese dramas can be.
If you don't mind things going from strange to complete nonsense, this is the series for you.
"This drama is a work of fiction" - well, thank Goodness!

I know japanese dramas are weird but this series doesnt make any sense. Did the leads become zombie at the end?
