📺 Korean Tv Series Review: She Would Never Know (선배, 그 립스틱 바르지 마요)

Chae Hyun-Seung fell in love with Yoon Song-ah almost as soon as he saw her a year ago, at the job consultation day in his college, and he's still now that she is his marketer mentor at the cosmetic company they both work for.
That's why he was so shocked when he found out she is in a secret relationship with their team's Brand Manager, Lee Jae-Shin.

Hyun-Seung decides to keep it to himself until the day he sees Mr. Lee entering Hyun-Seung's sister's wedding dresses atelier...with his fiancée, Lee Hyo-Joo.
Uncertain at first, eventually he'll reveal it to Song-ah while confessing his feelings for her.
Song-ah is devastated and breaks up with Jae-Shin without giving a reason, making him obsessed with winning her back and causing a lot of fights with Hyun-Seung, who's set on staying at Song-ah's side to avoid her being hurt more than she already is.

My Opinion👍
This drama is one of the many based on webtoons and the literal title was "Sunbae, Don't Put On That Lipstick" referring to the lipstick Song-ah always put on before secretly meeting with Jea-Shin.
The best thing about it was how well and believable all the different kinds of relationships were portrayed, whether they were between lovers, friends, or family members. Personally, the one I found most impactful was the relationship between Hyun-Seung and his two sisters, they are really close and always ready to support each other.

Also, Klar's marketing team is probably the best bunch of people: self humorous and chatty, they are the comic sidekicks along with Song-ah's best friend and housemate Kim Ga-Young.
I wasn't expecting the story to be this focused on both sides of a relationship, from the cutest to the most toxic, but I'm glad it highlighted how love sometimes can develop into an obsession and lead to extreme and dangerous decisions/actions.

Another unforeseen aspect has been how engaging and entertaining was the parallel story between Hyun-Seung's older sister Chae Ji-Seung and a very persistent and funny Klar's director...the real show-stealers, if you ask me!
