In the last year, Dan-Yi got divorced and has been going under several job interviews, but got rejected because of her 7 years career break, so things are not doing so well, but thankfully she hasn't lost her optimism.
In the meantime, Eun-Ho has become a successful writer and the founding member of Gyeoroo Publishing company; he's clueless about Dan-Yi personal situation so he's completely taken aback when finds her in front of him on Gyeoroo's job recruiting day.
Eventually, Dan-Yi gets a contract position on the Task Division and they decide to hide the fact that they know each other and that Dan-Yi will live with Eun-Ho for the time being.
A third character appears right on episode one, to save Dan-Yi from a rainstorm (literally): Ji Seo-Joon. He's a talented artist and famous book designer...he's also interested in a senior author who left all his royalties to Gyeoroo Publishing and that curiosity will cause turmoil between him and Eun-Ho, who knows personally said, author.
I particularly liked the friendships that Dan-Yi is able to start with some of the company's members, especially with Marketing team leader Seo Young-A and two colleagues, Park Hoon and Oh Ji-Yool.
My Opinion👍👎
Kang Dan-Yi is in denial about her true feelings for Eun-Ho for basically half series, even when he explicitly tells her he likes her. Also, this might be the first k-drama where I hoped for the second lead to get the girl, Ji Seo-Joon is such a good guy, with the prettiest smile ever!
Did I like the series? Yes. Would I suggest it? It depends...
I enjoyed how well the world that's behind the publishing of a book is described: endless proofreading and editing sessions, marketing strategies, and runnings against time to fix even the tiniest detail mistake.
But, other than that, I think the story is very linear, with no "WOW moments" and some outcomes were extremely obvious.
If you want something light, enjoyable, that doesn't require a lot of focus, go for it! This is the perfect series for a Sunday kdrama marathon!
