I spent the summer working abroad, in the beautiful (yet extremly wet and windy) Ireland! I'm thinking about doing maybe one or two posts about it, but for now I wanted to show you my purchases in the Irish bookshops!
I also celebrated my birthday there and, since I had never read anything of the famous Irish poet, William Butler Yeats, a friend bought me a collection of his poems "A poet to his Beloved"! Then, during my staying, I bought myself "The Rooftoppers" by Katherine Rundell, "Princess Academy" by Shannon Hale and "Time and Time again" by Ben Elton.
When I got back home in Italy, I found some Italian books waiting for me, as well as another one in English: "The Territory" by Sarah Govett, which I won in a giveaway.
It's thanks to an exchanging page on Facebook that I got so many books. The only one I won on a giveaway is "Immagina" (Imagine) by Yami. Then I got:- Fallen and Rapture by Lauren Kate (I already have the entire serie in ebook, but I couldn't resist the chance to have them in paperback!)
- L' orribile karma della formica (Bad Karma) by David Safier
- Il cavaliere inesistente (The Nonexistent Knight) by Italo Calvino
- Il deserto dei Tartari (The Tartar Steppe) by Dino Buzzati
- Metello by Vasco Pratolini
I'm beyond happy with my purchases/trades/wins! If you have any comment or suggest on which one I should read first....let me know!!
