📺 Korean Tv Series Review: Your House Helper (당신의 하우스헬퍼)

Kim Ji Woon is an "house helper": he cleans house, organizes them and teaches the owners how to keep it that way...but he also often plays as emotional analist, helping people with their personal problems.
He helps jewelry designer Yoon Sang-ah escaping from her one way crush for a friend who basically used her as dog sitter, or Im Da Young, a young girl living in a house filled with memories (and junk!) of her late father's. Thanks to him the two girls, along with Han So Mi, eventually end up living together, giving strenght to one another.

Kim Ji Woo also experienced a very low moment in his life, back when he was a lawyer, but thanks to an enigmatic lady who changed him, he went to work for Mr.Go, the hilarious owner of Go Cafè (and cleaning company) with an ambiguos past. At the cafè works part-time Park Ga-Ram, who will grow fond for So Mi and will end up helping with her men phobia.
Last but not least, you'll meet attorney Kwon Jin-kook, Da Young's acquaintance, that will fall for Sang-ah, starting a series of comical attempts to express his love to her.

This is, however, a drama that shows important and daily themes like the increasing rate of suicides due to the strict and high expectating society or the abuses and sacrifices women have to bear on their work places...

My Opinion👍👎
This is a "webcomic" based Tv Series (like this one HERE) and yes, the title could lead you thinking "It's just a series where someone goes and clean someone else's house"; reality is Kim Ji Woon cleans/organizes houses because he's still tied to his past, which prevents him from living his life, so he prefers fixing others.
At first I didn't understand the connection between the three young, theirs seemed like three parallel stories, but then they turned out being high school BFFs and from than moment on the story became more clean and flowed better.

There this thing called "second lead couple crush" which is basically rooting more for the secondary couple rather than the main one...it happened to me with High Society and with this series as well: Kwon Jin-kook is one of the cutest and most naive characters I've seen so far, but he has his priorities straight: to make Yoon Sang-ah happy, no matter what...and every attemp is even funnier than the previous!

It's a slow-pace series, with lots of plot twits, laughable, believable and relatable moments, if you want something that mixes atmospheres from K-Dramas like "Something in the Rain" and "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?" you've found your show.

Ranking 3½/5
